“As Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Agricultural Matters, I had the privilege of meeting with Hon. Chiedu Ebie, then Secretary to the State Government (SSG). I sought his office intervention to push Memo to H.E for his kind consideration and approval of my Agric Empowerment Memo, specifically for the second edition of the “Delta State Agricultural Neighbourhood Farming Intervention, Incentives Support Scheme aka DANFIISS”. The meeting was productive, and after a thorough Q&A session, I secured the approval from His Excellency.

With the approval, I empowered 150 neighbourhood farmers through refresher training, Agro incentives, and stipends, enhancing their production capacity and income generation.

What’s noteworthy is Hon. Ebie’s humility and appreciation for citizen-led initiatives. After our meeting, he unexpectedly stopped his convoy, smiled, and asked me to follow up with his secretary. This gesture showcased his servant leadership and commitment to excellence.

I’m grateful for his support and wish him well in his new role as Chairman of the NDDC Board. Thank you, Hon. Chiedu Ebie, for your dedication to good governance.
