A FUNCTIONAL PUBLIC WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM IN YENAGOA CAPITAL CITY, NEEDED!

For sure, Gov. Douye Diri of Bayelsa State has distinguished himself from past administrations with meaningful infrastructural developments all over the state. And the good people of the state were quick to show him love during his recent thank-you tour.

Still, there’s one basic thing people in the Capital city are missing out on, and they’re praying His Excellency can use his power to change that story. Not having a public water supply in Yenagoa is more than a big deal and needs urgent attention from Gov. Diri. We can’t keep relying on #Meruwa for all our portable water needs. Boreholes are an option, but they need regular treatment that’s pricey, and sometimes there’s no power to run the system.

In the end Your Excellency, we’re lucky we haven’t had an epidemic outbreak from waterborne diseases in the state. Because of that, Government has to step in in a hurry! They’re saying Government should:
1. Get the Water board working again.
2. Fix up the existing water pipes in the city centre. ( initiated by previous administration.)
3. Start a RESTORATION WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM in Yenagoa Capital City.

We can’t have a big-time waterboard and be paying tons of civil servants their salaries without water actually flowing in our neighborhoods to justify all that cash Government’s spending every month/year.
