By Frank P Ebikefe
Is Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan leading Nigerian women aright and why the silence from women in Nigeria over the seemingly oppression of the rights of one of there own. What happened to the bond in Eden…..
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan’s actions and leadership style may be viewed differently by various individuals. Some might appreciate her efforts, while others might criticize her approach.
Regarding the silence from women in Nigeria, it’s possible that:
– Some women may not be aware of the issues
– Others might not feel directly affected
– Different priorities or concerns might be more pressing
– Fear of backlash or repercussions could be a factor
The phrase “bond in Eden” is intriguing and referencing to a specific incident related to women’s rights or solidarity in the Garden of Eden!
The right to eat was exhibited at Eden between the woman and the serpent, why don’t they protect their rights today?
Here I’m referencing to the biblical story of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The serpent’s temptation and Eve’s subsequent actions relate to free will, choice, and responsibility.
Permit me to take the liberty to compare the above to modern day women’s rights. Some possible interpretations:
– Societal progress and changing values
– Different contexts and challenges
– Evolution of women’s roles and empowerment
Women’s rights movements focus on various issues, including:
– Equality
– Education
– Economic opportunities
– Protection from violence
These movements aim to promote women’s well-being and participation in society.
Our distinguish Senator Natasha should see herself as representing this community of women and should along her colleagues stand for the Nigerian women North, South, East and West above respective constituency even though women also make the numbers!
That way, support may be reciprocal above prevailing jealousy of this gender….
